>>>Yes I am here. So I took a month or so off. Having a horse to care for is quite a bit of work. We decided to help out with my sister's quarter horse instead of leasing on our own. Thank God. I did not realize what goes into different things of care. Like if I tie the polos wrong I screw up his tendon. Ouch. Luckily he is patient with us, to say the least. And oh the hugs he gives and then he nibbles on your shoulder... Yes he makes my heart melt. The kids were annoying me at the barn so he was in his stall and I just shut his door and sat down and played solitaire on my Palm with him. He kept dipping his head down to watch the screen.
More exciting news, a colt has been born at the barn!!! A gorgeous boy arabian and we got to see him a few hours old. It was so sweet to watch a new mommy and her colt. It is her first but she did well and he certainly is healthy though wobbly. He was trying to lay down and his back legs crossed making him fall down just like Bambi. They called him Clark Kent since his mom's name is Lois Lane. I think he will be a champion some day.
All this rain Yuck no riding for us. Wish our horse was at an indoor barn. The girls have started their lessons now at a local barn that has an indoor. Wish we could board there but something about horse politics... I guess no matter what circle I join up with there is always Poilitics to be had.
But at least our grass in growing
Oh wait that means paying the lawn guy more often
